Selfies with Saffy

Young Saffy is edging towards teenagerdom now, so of course, she's been roping us into taking selfies...

Some are more 'interesting' than others:

Very occasionally, Basil joins in too...

... but mostly he prefers to go solo. He said he's thinking about signing up for Cat Tinder and what did I think of these?

I told him I thought the last one was maybe a bit much. He's still working on his photography technique:

Winter is Coming

After a mild autumn, we're finally starting to feel the chill here in Hertfordshire. Basil and Saffy are in full winter mode, using any means they can to keep warm... beds, laps, patches of sunlight, piles of laundry etc...

Don't get me wrong, the heating has been on, but as a cat you can never really be too snuggly.

Basil and Saffy have been judging you...

... And you have been found wanting. Basil is very disappointed:

News of the month is that Saffy has turned out to be an excellent mouser and totally ninja hunter. Not that this is particularly desirable as far as the household is concerned, we take more of a 'live and let live' approach to most pests, but I can't fault her achievements in this area.

I don't know whether you'll be disappointed or relieved that I have no photographic evidence of Saffy's new found skills. I suspect the latter.

Instead, as it's much easier to photograph, here are the various positions in which Basil and Saffy have been sleeping/relaxing of late.

My personal favourite is the "I'm ready for my manicure" pose:

An update

Happy International Cat Day everyone! Of course, anyone who actually "owns" a cat knows that every bloody day is International Cat Day as far as they are concerned.

Apologies for the lack of posts of late. Busy busy, blah blah... Here's a quick update on what Basil and Saffy have been up to.
